Brittany Moody Animal Operations Manager & Head Counselor
Brittany began volunteering with the charity in 2011 and came on board as staff in 2012. She started riding horses at about age 7. Her first horse, Rocky, was a sweet Percheron gelding who would lay down for you to mount and dismount. Her aunt, who was 7th in the nation in dressage, and her uncle taught her everything they knew about riding and caring for horses. Her uncle rode western and filled her days with learning through work on the ranch more than in the arena. That is part of what made her the solid rider and animal care provider that she is today.
When Brittany was 12, she finally made it to Texas! With her first show horse, Flash, she learned halter, showmanship, and western pleasure. They showed off their new skills at events like the Houston Stock Show, Ft. Worth Stock Show and Horse-o-rama. Less than a year later, Flash and Brittany had qualified for the PHBA World Show. She also performed in barrels and poles, trail classes, equitation classes, reining, and even joined a drill team that performed at the rodeos. We sure are glad to have Brittany on board!
Scott "Scooter" Vincent Arena Supervisor & Trails Manager
Scooter started with the charity over 9 years ago and has over 18 years of horse training, arena, rodeo and riding experience. He began his training in Stephenville, Texas where he helped his step-father break and train horses throughout his childhood.
Scooter is well-known for his superior riding skills, rodeo experience and knowledge plus he's a mean mechanic. Scooter can fix any piece of equipment we have from tractors and back hoes to farm trucks and golf carts. Scooter is definitely a guy you want to have around the ranch!

Ricky "RC" Caldwell Arena & Trail Ride Events
RC has been a welcome figure at the charity's locations for over 10 years. From boarding his horses, helping work our studs and attending parades and cattle drives with us to mentoring the youth around the ranch, he's been a helpful figure to have around.
Even more than his prized quarter horses, RC loves his fantastic stock of Tennessee Walking Horses. Ask him which is his prize horse and he will tell you "All of them"!
RC also brings years of experience from his travels state-wide, as well as region-wide, to other horse shows, play days, competitions and equine events and festivals. Look out for RC at all of our rodeo and trail events.
